Children’s Ministry
Children have many opportunities to worship, grow, and serve at FUMC. From our Sunday School program on Sunday mornings to our fun-filled activities offered on Wednesday Nights, there is so much to do!
Sunday Mornings
We want children to be able to participate in hands-on worship and life-changing encounters with God. We hope to accomplish this through Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Serve opportunities.
Children’s Church: After the Children’s Moment in the Traditional service and before the message in the Contemporary service, Children ages 4-2nd grade are dismissed to join our team of Children’s Worship Leaders for Children’s church. Through hands-on worship, your kids will have amazing encounters with God through awesome music and unforgettable Bible adventures. After worship, parents may pick up their kids in Epworth 111. *The first Sunday of each month, our church celebrates Communion and children remain in the worship service with their parents.

Serve opportunities:
Greeters for Modern service- In the contemporary service, children have the opportunity to serve as connectors. Connectors serve in worship by handing out drop cards and taking up offering.
Traditional Worship Acolytes- All 4th, 5th, and 6th Graders are encouraged to join the acolyte program. Acolytes assist the Pastor in our traditional services at 8:30 + 11:00 am in the Sanctuary. This is a great way for our children to actively participate in service to the church.

Confirmation- 6th Grade
Confirmation is an incredible year beginning in the fall where our students get a chance to make a firm commitment to Christ as their Savior and Lord. Students meet throughout the year to study: the Bible, the basic doctrines of the church and our Methodist history and theology. In addition to weekly classes, the group will participate in service projects, daily Bible reading, enriching field trips, and the annual Confirmation Retreat.
